Western Sydney Wanderers will return to ANZ Stadium for the first time since round one for a heavyweight battle with Melbourne Victory on Saturday night.

The Wanderers finally found some goalscoring form at Central Coast Stadium last Saturday, thrashing the Mariners 4-1. The result was a far cry from the Wanderers’ track record in front of goal to that point of the season, with only nine goals to their name.

Tony Popovic’s men will be out to erase some dreadful memories at Homebush. Supporters of the Red and Black will need little reminding of what occurred at the venue in round one, ruthlessly belted 4-0 by Sydney FC.

Melbourne Victory were dominant in their last outing against Perth Glory, but despite those territorial gains at AAMI Park, Victory could not break down the dogged West Australians, forced to settle for a 1-1 draw.
