Nottingham Forest are tracking Vitoria Setubal’s Andre Claro, who will be out of contract in the summer, Portuguese outlet A Bola have reported.
Reports are emerging in Portugal that the Championship outfit had scouts go and watch him last night as Vitoria Setubal won 2-0 at home to Estoril.
The striker has played 13 matches in the Portuguese Liga this season, the highest level of Portuguese football, and has contributed 4 goals. Last season he bagged 12 in 34 league games for Setubal as they finished 15th in the league table.
Andre Claro has only ever played football in Portugal, starting his career with giants Porto, before moving to Arouca FC in 2013, where he spent two years, joining current club Vitoria Setubal in 2015.
Nottingham Forest are 13th in the Championship table with 7 wins from 19 league games, totalling 25 points. Philippe Montanier’s side started 2016/17 quite well before their form dipped, however Forest have turned things round and are now unbeaten in their last 4 games.
